No asterisks, no hedging. Here is how Muninn handles pricing, storage, privacy and the rest. If something is missing, email us and a real person will reply. Looking for every setting and behavior? Read the complete reference.
The app is $49.99, once. That buys the whole local experience forever: library, smart albums, on-device AI search, people, map, and the slideshow studio with MP4 export.
Publishing is the optional subscription: Basic ($4.99/mo) for unlimited web galleries, Pro ($14.99/mo) for galleries plus scheduled social publishing with 30 connected accounts. Pro includes your first custom domain; additional domains are $10/yr.
No. The one-time purchase is yours to keep, and everything local works forever without a subscription. A subscription only matters if you want to publish to the web or schedule social posts.
Schedulers make you maintain a second media library: export your finished photos, upload them into the tool, and lose every tag and album you already made. In Muninn, your actual photo library is the scheduler. Search it with AI, filter by the people in the frame, point a drip campaign at an album, and post. No exports, no re-uploads.
And the math: 30 connected accounts for $14.99/mo, where the field gives you one to eight at that price.
Gallery hosts are another upload bin with a bill attached. Muninn publishes galleries straight from the same library, public or password-protected, with unlimited viewers and your own domain. Unpublish anytime; Muninn never deletes your work.
On the Pro tier you can schedule or immediately post to eight platforms: Instagram, Facebook, Threads, Pinterest, LinkedIn, Bluesky, Mastodon and X. You get 30 connected accounts pooled across up to two identities, not the usual five-profile cap. Need more? A $5/mo add-on adds 10.
One meter to know about: posting to X is limited to 120 posts a month (X charges for its API; every other platform is unmetered). A $5.99/mo add-on adds 60 more, and it stacks.
Two things. A 14-day full trial of every feature, and with the app purchase your first gallery is free for a year. You can evaluate the whole pipeline before paying for the cloud layer. Fair-use limits apply to the free gallery and to paid storage.
Nothing, unless you choose to publish. All AI is on-device: semantic search, face clustering and tagging never touch a server. Muninn's servers only ever hold the specific photos in an album you decide to publish to the web. There is no background sync, and no tracking of you or your content; only anonymous, aggregate usage analytics help improve the app.

Muninn sits at the end of the workflow, after the shoot, the cull and the edit. It is where finished work lives, gets organized, and gets presented. It is not a RAW developer and not a sync-everything cloud drive. It is also a true native Mac app: Swift and SwiftUI, no web views, AI through Core ML.
A mixed-source library is a first-class idea here: camera RAW, Luminar and Photoshop exports, Midjourney frames, phone shots and Apple Photos all sit side by side as equals.
Yes. Pro includes one custom domain. Additional domains (and domains on Basic) are $10/yr each. Point your own domain at your published galleries instead of the default address.
Subscriptions are billed monthly through Stripe, and you can cancel anytime. The one-time app unlock is handled through the Mac App Store. There is no lock-in: cancel a subscription and the app keeps working locally, you just stop publishing to the cloud.
